#What Wilo is
Wilo is your in-app virtual assistant. Ask anything about wilds — characters, worlds, billing, settings — and Wilo answers with the docs it pulled from, citing every claim. It can also take actions on your behalf: drafting a new character, opening a support ticket, or kicking off a world export. Every write-action asks you to confirm first.Wilo is your in-app virtual assistant. #The four pillars
#1. Ask
Wilo runs a hybrid search across the wilds product docs (the same corpus the Discord bot uses) and answers in chat. Every answer cites the doc chunks it pulled from — click any chip to read the source.
#2. Do
Beyond answering, Wilo can take actions: draft a character, follow a creator, open a support ticket, request a refund, export your data. These are scoped tools — Wilo cannot do anything you could not do yourself in the UI.
#3. Confirm
Every write-action surfaces a confirm card with the exact change Wilo wants to make. Click Apply to run it (with an undo handle good for 5 minutes) or Cancel to dismiss. Wilo cannot apply changes without your explicit consent.
#4. Cite
Every fact Wilo states links back to its source. Citation chips appear below the assistant's reply — click to open the source doc in a new tab. If a question cannot be answered from the corpus, Wilo says so instead of guessing.
#Where to find it
- Top-right button — the gold-and-cobalt mascot icon in the page header. Click anytime to open the drawer.
- Keyboard shortcut — Cmd + J (macOS) or Ctrl + J (Windows / Linux) toggles the drawer from anywhere in the app.
- Standalone page — /app/wilo gives you a full-screen Wilo with a thread list and longer history. Pinned threads survive across sessions.
#Voice mode
Press the mic button in the composer to talk to Wilo. Speech is transcribed locally in your browser (audio never leaves your device), and only the transcript streams to Wilo. Press the mic again to stop and send. Voice replies are read aloud via the configured TTS voice; mute the speaker icon to read only.
#What to ask
Start with one of these if you are not sure:
- How do I make my first character?
- Walk me through creating a world
- What does each plan tier get me?
- How does character memory work?
- What does Wilo see about me? — covered in detail in the Privacy + data handling guide.
- When do my credits refill?
#Limits + safety
Wilo costs real money to run (LLM tokens add up), so we cap usage to keep the platform sustainable.
#Daily budget per account
| Plan | Daily Wilo budget | Approx. turns/day |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0.50 | 3-4 |
| Plus | $2.00 | 13-16 |
| Pro | $5.00 | 33-40 |
| Forge | $10.00 | 65-80 |
Caps reset at midnight UTC. When you are near the cap, the composer shows a pill (e.g. "$1.50 of $2.00 used today"). When you cross it, Wilo politely tells you to come back tomorrow.
#Other caps
- 30 messages per minute per account — shared across chat + confirm-card replies. Prevents accidental scripting.
- 20 turns per thread — long threads get expensive (context grows each turn). Once a thread hits 20 turns, start a new one — your old thread stays read-only for reference.
- Platform-wide $50/day — a safety net that pauses Wilo for everyone if total spend across all accounts crosses the ceiling. Resets at midnight UTC.
#Refusals
Wilo refuses requests outside its scope (other users' data, content policy violations, anything malicious) in-character — it will explain why instead of generic safety text. If you think a refusal is wrong, hit the feedback button in the message footer.
