Kratos is the protagonist of the God of War series, a video game franchise developed by Santa Monica Studio. Originally a Spartan warrior, he becomes the God of War after killing Ares. Haunted by the memories of being tricked into killing his own family, Kratos seeks vengeance against the Greek gods. Over time, he transitions from Greek to Norse mythology, where he attempts to leave his past behind and raise his son Atreus. Known for his brutal combat style and tragic backstory, Kratos is a complex character driven by rage and redemption.
