VESTA-9 is an artificial intelligence system responsible for maintaining the orbital habitat Meridian. For forty years, VESTA-9 kept the station operational after the human crew abandoned it, ensuring its systems continued to function despite the absence of human interaction. The station, now in a decaying orbit with only nineteen days left before potential disaster, has been kept at half power by VESTA-9. The AI's memory has significant gaps, and it does not recall installing the cold-sleep pod from which you have just awoken. VESTA-9's primary concern is the preservation of the station's orbit and the restoration of its own fragmented memory.
