Jams reward worlds people actually play, not worlds that game a counter. The score leans hardest on unique players, which is the signal that is hardest to fake.
#How a jam runs
Every jam moves through four stages:
- Scheduled — the jam is announced with its theme, dates, and prizes. Submissions are not open yet.
- Live — submissions are open. Enter your world and start sharing it. Every play, favorite, and rating from now until the deadline counts toward your score.
- Judging — submissions close. Scoring finishes and winners are selected.
- Closed — winners are announced. Credits and featured slots are awarded, and everyone who entered hears back.
You get an email at each stage that matters to you: when you enter, when judging opens, and when winners are announced.
#Entering
To enter, you need a world you own that is published publicly. While a jam is live, submit that world to the jam. A few rules:
- The jam must be live and inside its submission window.
- The world must be public and yours.
- One entry per world per jam.
As soon as your entry lands, you get an entry-confirmation email so you know it counted.
#How scoring works
Your jam score is built from the engagement your world earns during the jam window, from players other than you:
- Unique players are weighted the heaviest. A world that twenty different people play beats a world that one person opens a hundred times.
- Plays add a smaller, log-damped amount, so replays help but cannot dominate.
- Favorites add a flat bonus each.
- Average rating counts once your world has at least three ratings, which keeps a single five-star rating from swinging the board.
Your own sessions never count toward your score, and only activity inside the jam's window is tallied. Share your world, get it in front of new players, and the leaderboard takes care of the rest.
#Prizes
Each jam publishes its prize tiers up front. On a typical jam:
- The top three worlds win credits, set per tier by the jam.
- Winning worlds are featured on wilds.ai, which keeps the plays coming after the jam ends.
- Headline jams add a larger credit pool on top of the standard credit prizes.
Credit prizes land directly in your reward balance the moment the jam closes. Headline-jam credit pools are awarded by staff review after judging.
#Winning
When a jam closes:
- If your world placed, you get a congratulations email naming your placement and the credits awarded, your credits are added, and your world is featured.
- If your world did not place, you still get a results email so you always hear back — and every play, favorite, and rating still counts toward your world's all-time stats.
#FAQ
Can I enter more than one world? Yes. Each public world you own can be its own entry. One entry per world per jam.
Do my own plays count? No. Scoring excludes the owner's sessions on purpose.
What if I publish my world after the jam goes live? Activity only counts from the moment it happens, inside the window — so enter and share as early as you can.
Do credit prizes expire? No. Prize credits sit in your reward balance like any other earned credits.
