A party is a live room where you, your friends, and AI characters chat together in real time. It's the group-chat counterpart to co-op: co-op is playing a world together, a party is a conversation together. Invite people from the platform, add one or more characters, and everyone talks in turn. #Starting a party

1. Open Together in the sidebar and pick the Party tab (/app/together?tab=party).
2. Click New Party. You land in the room as the host.
3. Click Invite and pick friends to bring in. They get a notification that opens the party.
4. Add a character (or several) so AI characters join the conversation.
5. Type in the composer. Everyone sees messages in real time, and characters reply in turn.

Parties you're in also appear in the Jump back in rail at the top of Together, so you can hop back into a running room from anywhere.

#Inviting friends

From the room, click Invite and choose anyone you're connected with on the platform. They receive a notification that links straight into the party, no codes to copy. The roster shows who's currently in the room and who's online, updating live as people come and go. The host (and any moderators) can remove someone from the room at any time.

#Characters in the party

Add a character and it joins as a full member of the conversation. When you or a friend says something, the party decides which characters have a reason to respond and they reply in turn, one after another, in character, instead of all talking at once. Add several characters and they share the floor with the humans. Character replies are scoped to the host's characters and settings, and they consume credits the same way a normal character chat does.

#Text in real time

Messages relay live to every member of the room as they're sent. The transcript is shared: everyone sees the same conversation, humans and characters together. Presence updates in real time so you can tell who's around before you start talking.
